An exploration and getting stuck in.

We are a boutique flower farm located in the heart of rural Northland but that’s just the beginning really.

At Flora + Foal Farm we specialise in dried and fresh flowers and foliage, growing and drying an array of different colours and textures to satisfy our customers growing desire for rustic and nostalgic florals. We have a love for floral design and passion for growing and have a wide range of seasonal cut flower varieties.

We are more than just a flower farm, we offer the chance for you to own a beautiful “seed to home” piece of dried floral art, where the piece you choose is truly bespoke. We grow nearly all of our flora ourselves or source it locally by foraging or supporting our local flower farm community.

Each piece is designed and curated with care, we can tell you exactly where each piece or material has come from. Just ask Claire, the owner and all-round, designer, farmer and business owner of Flora + Foal Farm.

Claire’s back ground is interior design so she has an eye for interior styling and her own design aesthetic. All of Flora + Foal’s pieces are designed to be natural and sit beautifully within the home or at your occasion. Each arrangement is unique and only a very limited number of arrangements are made each year.

As well as creating beautiful floral arrangements for weddings and events, using the best produce straight from our farm, we also supply wholesale to a number of our local Florist friends and flower brokers.

Our flower farm has grown from humble beginnings into the flourishing business it is today and we can’t wait to share a piece of our farm with you.

FAQs

How long will my dried florals last?

Depending on where your dried flowers are displayed they should last anywhere from 2 - 3 years, possibly even longer. Elements such as sun, moisture, drafts will all have an impact on the lifespan of your dried flowers.

Are my dried flowers suppose to fade?

Your flowers will naturally age over time and this may include fading and some light shedding. This is because all of our products are preservative free and 100% natural. We recommended keeping florals out of direct sunlight to slow down the fading process, a light spray with hairspray can help to prevent shedding and keep things in place.

How do I dust my dried florals?

We recommend using a hair dryer on a low cool setting to gently remove dust from your florals as required, a light dust once a year should be enough to keep your florals dust free.

Do you ship anywhere in NZ?

Yes we do! although some larger items and fresh flowers may only be shipped within the Bream Bay area (local delivery and shipping fees apply) We advise enquiring and discussing shipping options on larger pieces prior placing your order as this can be arranged in some areas outside Bream Bay.

My product has arrived damaged?

Although this seldom happens, we understand that accidents can occur. During shipping it is normal for some shedding to occur and small pieces to be in the box when you remove your product. However if you are not happy with the condition your product has arrived in please send us a photo of the product and we will offer a partial or full refund.
